This was my first meal in Japan and it did not disappoint!! I got all recommended qualities for my ramen, and the first thing I noticed was the broth. It was flavorful and had a warm, cozy quality to it. The noodles were cooked to a perfect level, and the runny egg paired well with the broth- it was a fun experience peeling my own egg! As for the ordering process, it’s a bit tedious as after you are allowed into the actual dining facility, you have to wait in line more to select a meal option and until a table is cleared. The only complaint I have is the long wait time- almost 3 hours at 9pm… 🥴. I recommend getting a ticket and spending time shopping in Shibuya to pass the time.

Finally tried Ichiran Shibuya 🍜✨ and honestly it lived up to the hype 😭 The ramen was SO comforting!! rich flavorful tonkotsu broth, perfectly chewy noodles, and that signature spicy red sauce that added the perfect kick without overpowering the soup 🤍 Everything tasted super balanced and satisfying. I also really liked the whole solo dining concept. Having your own little booth made the experience feel unique and surprisingly relaxing, especially after walking around busy Shibuya all day 🏮✨ Ordering was easy too since you can customize almost everything, from noodle firmness to broth richness and spice level. I queued for around an hour before getting in 😭 but honestly the line moved pretty efficiently and the ramen made the wait feel worth it. The place was definitely busy, which just shows how popular it is with both tourists and locals. Definitely one of those classic Tokyo food experiences you have to try at least once 🍥🍜✨

The best ramen I have had in my life! I knew this was a popular place so I went just before the dinner rush at around 5pm. They operate on a waitlist system so scan QR code sign up for the waitlist. You can go shopping at nearby shops in the meantime. I only had to wait 10 minutes before they sent me a notification to say they are ready. You'll go down the stairs to a large tablet where you will place/pay for your ramen, sides and drink order. They will then hand you a paper slip where you can customise your ramen order: richness of the broth/chilli/chewiness of noodles etc. you will then wait for your booth to become available. I had to wait another 10 mins. It's a small restaurant with single booths. You can with a group however you may not be able to sit next to them. Very efficient as expected!
