Isetan Shinjuku is one of those places where it’s easy to lose track of time in the best way. I especially liked wandering through the basement food hall and picking up a few things to try later. After that, heading up to the rooftop garden made it feel like a nice little escape in the middle of the city. It’s a great spot for a relaxed visit.

Definitely a world-class department store with all the international big brands as well as smaller but upscale brands, and the best food food I've ever seen having travelled to numerous countries. And they have a men's section. I have to highlight the higher quality of the food they sell down the basement. Plethora of selections. Fruit, vegetabls, fish, seafood, desserts, biscuits, cakes, ice cream, meat, wagyu... Very fresh and top qualities. And the bento boxes are lovely. Sushi is so pleasantly presented. There's very wide range of international food.

They have one of the best food market in the basement floor. It is massive! With hundreds of fancy stands selling all.kinds of food. From budget friendly options to very fancy meals and treats. This is a busy place, you will see locals here. Perfect program for a rainy day. Walking distance to the Shinjuko Shrine.

A quirky, chandelier-lit micro-bar in Shinjuku's famed Golden Gai alleyways, packed with retro bric-a-brac and barely room for a dozen guests.
