New York Bar

This is a very iconic bar featured heavily in Sofia Copola's Lost in Translation. I spent my 1 night in Tokyo here, I really enjoyed the experience here. They closed the hotel for a few years and did a faithful restoration to the interiors. The bar is at the 52nd floor. You can access it via the 1st floor and 41st floor lobbies. Contrary to what othera say, it can easily be accessed you just need to mind the signages. Do note that the Hotel is really very dark at night, the kighting is very minimal. There is a cover charge of 3000yen on 8pm onwards, i think this is due to the band. Drinks range from 2400yen above. There is a Lost In Translation Drink marked as L.I.T. in the menu, along with some signature cocktails. Their jazz band was amazing. The views of Tokyo are amazing here. Must try.

Haters are going to tell you that it's not worth the money to come here. We found the opposite! The views alone were worth the cover charge. We were lucky enough to be sitting in the bar during a lightning storm. Live jazz music was being performed. The atmosphere was unmatched. The drinks were strong and well made, and our server was lovely. Obviously if you're a fan of Lost in Translation you should check this place out.

The view alone justifies the cover charge. A genuinely special evening.
