Had a great coffee experience at Koffee Mameya. We arrived about 5–10 minutes after their opening at 10am and there was already a short queue forming — and shortly after, it turned into a long snaking line. Definitely shows how popular this place is. The coffee menu offers a wide variety, which was great for trying different profiles. We had three different coffees and all of them were excellent, each with its own distinct character and well-executed. The only downside was that some coffees are served in paper cups, which takes away from the overall coffee experience. I ended up requesting one of my better coffees to be served in a porcelain cup instead. It would also have been nice if they provided some high chairs at the counter so customers could sit and properly enjoy their coffee. Overall, still a must-visit for coffee lovers — just come early!

A coffee pilgrimage worth every step — one of the best experiences of my trip This place is on a completely different level. Walking in and seeing that wall — rows upon rows of carefully packaged specialty beans from Panama, Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala and beyond — you immediately understand this is serious coffee. The menu itself is a work of art, laid out like a grid with each bean's origin, roaster, and price clearly presented. Overwhelming in the best possible way. What sets this apart from any coffee shop I've visited is how they treat you as a guest who deserves to understand what they're drinking. The staff walked me through the entire menu patiently — every bean, every flavor note, every step of the brewing process explained with genuine care and expertise. When I was curious about a flavor profile, they handed me a sample to taste before committing. No rush, no attitude — just pure passion for the craft. I went for the filter coffee, brewed fresh pour-over right in front of me on a precision scale. Watching them brew it is almost meditative. The result was extraordinary — complex, clean, and nothing like anything you'd get at a regular café. Ended up buying a bag of dark roast beans to bring home, and I'd do it again without hesitation. The place is small and there were people waiting, yet the staff remained calm, humble, and fully present with every customer. That kind of professionalism is rare anywhere in the world. It's a bit of a hidden gem — took a solid walk to find it after the train — but that almost adds to the experience. Some of the best things in Tokyo require a little effort to reach. This one is absolutely worth it.

Great coffee, though standing-only isn't ideal if you want to linger.

Such a great coffee experience in Tokyo. Koffee Mameya is perfect for anyone who really appreciates specialty coffee. The selection of beans is impressive, and the staff are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful when choosing what to try. The coffee was excellent, and I loved the minimalist atmosphere. Definitely one of the coffee spots I’d recommend checking out in Tokyo.
